San Diego Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge

now through December 31, 2023

THE SAN DIEGO SIX-PACK OF PEAKS CHALLENGE is a self-guided hiking challenge that takes you six iconic San Diego County mountains.

Explore new mountains, test your limits, and level up your outdoor experience. Expand the boundaries of what you are capable of, all while helping support outdoor non-profits.

Complete the hikes in six months, six weeks or six days. You set the schedule that works best for you. The hikes start easier and work up to longer and more challenging climbs.

The hikes begin shorter with Volcan Mountain, graduating to longer more challenging hikes, culminating with El Cajon (“the hardest hike in San Diego”) and Palomar, the high point of San Diego County.

There are seven peaks to choose from — pick any six to complete the challenge or hike them all.

Registration begins at $50. Learn what's included with registration.
